A grassroots effort is underway - a real one, not a Tea Party style astroturf movement - wherein Americans are
moving their money from large banks to Credit Unions. I am moving my money this month from Wells Fargo to Elevations Credit Union - who has just upgraded their online banking capabilities. I will predict right now, that this move will be one of the most powerful things to come from the Occupy movement. Hitting banks where they live, which is by using your money to gamble on risky investment strategies, is a surefire way to get their attention and weaken their lobbying power eventually.
